Our Boma - Accommodation
Our boma was built around 1990 and has grown in size ever since. Currently there are twelve huts, positioned in a circle around the cattle enclosure.
Our guest hut used to be my hut before I moved into a larger one. It is small and cozy, heated by an inside fire during cold nights.
Most huts contain two double beds, made out of sticks and hay, softened by a cow hide or mat laid on top.
We also have plenty if space to pitch a tent, should you fancy sleeping under the stars.
Four generations share our home, the oldest person being my grandmother-in law, who is roughly 100 years old. The youngest being the son of my father in law's third wife.
Our boma is but a ten minute walk away from the local village which consists of a small shop, a dispensary, school and a tiny bar. It is also close to the local waterhole where you can spot turtles and every now and then even a crocodile.
